Ufuoma Festus Omo-obi, Country Director

Ufuoma Festus Omo-obi currently leads Marie Stopes operations in Sierra Leone and Liberia.

He has practical, operational and professional experience with proven a record of accomplishment in the coordination, management, governance and delivery of health and development programs in West Africa.

Ufuoma is a member Institute of Directors UK and an alumnus and Fellow/Mentor in John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Development Programme and recently won The Bill and Melinda Gates funded 120Under40 Global Leadership Awards in September, 2016.

A man of faith, a social commentator, and good governance expert, Ufuoma is warm, personable and believes - “If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.”


Felix Ikenna, Director of Quality Assurance & Management

Dr. Felix currently leads the Quality Assurance and Management team of MSSL, which is responsible for ensuring high quality services are provided through targeted trainings, continuous supportive supervision, and clinical governance contributing to the achievement of organizational mission, goals and objectives.

Felix Ikenna Onunkwor is a Medical doctor with a postgraduate training in international health from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Felix brings eleven (11) years of professional work experiences with a mix of clinical care, public health and management, 6 years’ experience in international development at a senior level and a clear understanding of the public, non-governmental and private sectors response to international health programmes. Believing that sustainability of international health programmes requires strong quality assurance and controls. Felix is known for enhancing overall performance through innovation, advanced employee training, and implementation of evidence based best practices. Felix has worked closely with Governments, International NGOs in developing and developed countries. He is an excellent RH service provider and a certified Master trainer in a variety of sexual and reproductive health services.  

His technical expertise in reproductive health and family planning, and his innovative approaches to contemporary organizational challenges has contributed significantly to the growth of MSSL over a short period of time. Felix is also skilled in strategic planning and business development. He pioneered the social Franchise network at Marie Stopes Nigeria leading to the expansion of the Social Franchising programme for family planning and post-Abortion care in Nigeria.

Prior to joining Marie Stopes International organization, Felix served as National Medical doctor with Medicine San Frontiers-France, under the Comprehensive emergency obstetric care programme in Nigeria.

Kunle Dehinsilu, Integrated Marketing Department Director

Kunle is responsible for the Sales & Marketing referred to as the Social Marketing channel of MSSL.

His function goes with setting up the SM channel on the path of sustainability in the two countries of Sierra Leone and Liberia via work through Public and Private Sector Providers and national distributors in the two countries.

Kunle is a registered Pharmacist and brings in more than 20 years of hands-on Sales Marketing commercial experience in demand generation for ethical range of pharmaceuticals. His main areas of expertise are: new products launch, development & growth, revenue management for profitability, field force excellence training and building highly effective teams.

Kunle has worked in leadership positions across a range of ethical medicine marketing organisations like GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and Synergy Healthcare Limited. He established the Social Marketing Program at MSI Nigeria at inception. He has a B. Pharm. Hons degree from O.A.U. Ile-Ife and an MBA from the University of Abuja, in Nigeria.

Mohammed Lorika, Finance Director

Mr. Mohammed joined MSSL in August 2017 as Finance Director.

A dynamic leader and professional with over 14 years’ experience in international development acquired from 7 countries in sub-Saharan Africa including the Caribbean; Lorika has being driving finance, business and operational performance for the competitive advantage for organizations he has worked with-through vision and operational efficiency. Lorika has worked for several international NGOs e.g. Medical Emergency Relief International (MERLIN), Academy for Educational Development (AED), Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Save the Children International (SCI) in different capacities eventually growing into the role of Finance Director. He has managed portfolios of up to $30 million from both private and institutional donors in the different countries including, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Liberia, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and currently Sierra Leone.

Lorika joined Save the Children SL in 2014 as the Finance Director at the height of the Ebola scourge and responded to the most challenging emergency response ever taken-on by Save the Children Sierra Leone building a strategy and a high-performing team for the finance department. He brings along to MSI a wealth of experience in creating business models for full financial recovery, systems & controls strengthening and accuracy in forecasting and business planning. Lorika, is thrilled by the opportunity to work in a social business and does hope to contribute a lot to our mission.

Jane Masaba, HR & Administration Director

Ms. Jane leads the HR & Administration team that is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate, sustainable, organisational structure is in place for MSSL to achieve its mission, goals and objectives.

The team contributes to furthering MSI’s mission: Children by Choice not Chance by bringing modern business approaches to MSSL’s support services in order to move the organisation towards financial sustainability, high productivity and growth.

The Team also ensures high quality and efficient HR, administration and contracts management, HR operations, legal compliance and governance, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, wellbeing and safety. The Team proactively identifies areas in which HR and administration can add value by employing modern business approaches.

Jane has proven practical, programmatic, operational knowledge and experience in human resource management, Administration, Legal, Fleet, ICT and corporate social responsibility that has evolved over the last 10 years working within the UK, South Sudan, Uganda and Sierra Leone.
